The Fiesta Bowl was played from 1971 to 2006 at Sun Devil Stadium in
Tempe, Arizona. The game is now played at the University of Phoenix
Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Since 1996, the game has been sponsored by
Tostitos tortilla chips (a Frito-Lay product).
In 1999, the Fiesta Bowl became part of the Bowl Championship Series, and
every four years is the designee for the
national championship game.
