Bobby Hebert was the quarterback for Northwestern State University. He was the 34th overall pick in the third round of the 1983 USFL draft by the Michigan Panthers. He led the Michigan to the USFL championship in 1983, being selected MVP. He was chosen as the Sporting News Player of the Year. In 1985, he quarterbacked the Oakland Invaders to the title game. With the demise of the USFL, Hebert was released by the Invaders and signed with the New Orleans of the NFL, leading the Saints to its first playoff appearance in 1987. He was eventually released by the Saints and signed with the Atlanta Falcons where he played from 1993-1995. He appeared in the Pro Bowl following the 1993 campaign.
